He received a prestigious scholarship from the Turkish Surgery Association, enabling him to train at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, USA) in the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery and Obesity–Metabolic Surgery Clinics.
Throughout his career, he has played key leadership roles, including:
- Establishing the HPB Surgery Unit at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, where he trained surgical residents
- Completing a doctorate in Medical Biology at Istanbul University (Çapa), with a thesis focused on aging
- Founding the Gastroenterology Surgery Clinic at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, serving as Program Responsible–Chief
