DR. OGUZHAN BABACAN

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Babacan is a Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist , expertise in pediatric blood disorders, childhood cancers, and bone marrow transplantation.

Area of Expertise

Dr. Babacan’s clinical interests include:

• Healthy baby checkups and routine vaccinations
• Evaluation of lymph node enlargement and anemia in children
• Diagnosis and treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, and other childhood cancers
• Bone marrow transplantation, including allogeneic, autologous, and haploidentical methods
• Management of ITP, thalassemia, hemophilia, and solid tumors
• Treatment of hemangiomas, recurrent infections, fever of unknown origin, malnutrition, and other pediatric hematologic disorders

Dr. Babacan completed his undergraduate, specialty, and subspecialty training at Gülhane Military Medical Faculty (GATA) in Ankara.

His extensive career includes:

• 2 years in Social Pediatrics, focusing on healthy infant follow-ups and vaccination programs.
• 13 years in a Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit, performing:
• Allogeneic transplants (family and unrelated donors)
• Autologous transplants
• Haploidentical stem cell transplants
• Clinical roles at leading medical centers, including Memorial Şişli Hospital, Özel Medistate Kavacık Hospital, and Memorial Ataşehir Hospital.
• Achieving the title of Associate Professor in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology in 2018.
